From this OOYA Stone Park , you can see a small river bridge … If you go here, you will find the OOya Stone museum. It’s about 5 minutes on foot. However, if you enter here, the underground space is large, so it will probably be a trip of about one hour …. You will be invited to the same feeling as exploring the limestone cave. This is a place where the old stone quarry was left as it was and used as a museum. Here, various events such as playing music, introducing works by theme, and volleyball are held. When the timing is right, you will be able to see those events.
Now, this OOYA Stone Museum can be seen here, but let’s take a look at the objective of today’s Kannon in OOYA, when you come here, maybe the oldest Kannon in Japan, OOYA You’re probably seeing a sign like a temple . This Kannon is a Kannon carved on the wall of OOYA stone cave. The rock cave is large and overhanging on the ceiling, and is carved in it. Let’s look there. By the way, it seems that it is not well known, but after visiting this Kannon, why not take a walk on the back side of the pond … Actually, at this place, during the spring flowers, you can see a wonderful view. And if you have time, you can go to the top of the rocky mountain if you go there for a while. If you are interested, please go to the Kannon guidance before you go. 新型コロナ感染に伴いまして栃木県内の方のみの限定と営業時間を短縮しておりましたが、国と県からの規制解除を受けまして、2020年6月1日より通常の営業体制に戻すことが決定いたしました。
但し、当分の間は、マスクをしていない方のご入館はできませんので、必ずマスクをご持参いただきまして当館敷地内では、マスクの着用をお願いいたします。
また、三蜜状態を防止するために、ソーシャルディスタンスの確保と、咳エチケットの厳守などの新しい生活様式へのご対応を併せてお願い申し上げます。
さらに、当館地下坑内では、狭い通路や階段・踊り場での写真撮影などはできませんので、立ち止まらずに前へお進みください。
