Nikko Akechidaira which located at the top of the Irohasaka(Iroha slope). And no one miss the spot to see ,because of this area is the very grandour view point of the Nikko Mountains. Last erly spring , I visited this area and much pleased with the Beauties of the Flower Blooming the visinity, and the ropeway located around this course is so nice to see around. From now on ・・・
今日は、日光市内から、風景をいろは坂から登った、明智平にしてみました・・・
ここからの眺めは素晴らしいもので、絵葉書などでよく紹介されている場所もここからの撮影での紹介です。 多くの観光客が行っているようですが、そんなことはなく、意外と地元住民も知らなかったりしている名所の場所です・・・・ ここは、特におすすめのコースですから、ぜひいろは坂を登るときには、立ち寄ってみると良いでしょう・・・・ここは、いろは坂の帰りのコースでは見ることはできません・・・
Above is the wonderful scenery from the spot. Every wonderful picture like thease are taken from this spot. You can see famous CHUZENJIKO Lake, KEGON FALL, and every wonderful scenerry from here. So you might think you only own this grandour feeling from here.
Akechidaira is translated in ‘Akechidaira Plateau ‘, so this is small area located near the Mt. NANTAI. And is located near the top of the ascending Irohazaka Winding Road.
At the plateau, there is a parking lot with a free observation area that offers nice views onto the Irohazaka and the valley below. During autumn, this becomes a popular autumn color spot as fall colors spread across the landscape. But Ishoud say, this area is always beautiful not only in Fall but also other seasons.
This area AKECHJ Daira can be easily accessible from Nikkou Toushougu Shrine. But you must know this area is located at back side of the Mt.Nantai. So you need to take abus ride about 40 minuets to get there.

As the ropeway ride is very short, but its feeling is very wonderful because of its uniqu environmental atomosphere. Specially, erly in May, many flowerd are begint blooming, so the feeling would be best, I assure you!
Once a rest house was stands beside the parking lot, but now it becomes old , so it is now under construction. So right now ,there is no serving as a souvenir shop, cafeteria and the lower station of the Akechidaira Ropeway.
If you take Rope way ride, about in three minutes, the ropeway carries you and visitors to an observation platform further up the mountain for spectacular views over Kegon Waterfall and Lake Chuzenjiko. This is the place whichi shown here thease pictures.
It is also possible to reach this upper observation deck in about two hours (one way) via a hiking trail from Lake Chuzenjiko. The trail also connects to Mount Hangetsuyama. THere are many other courses available to hake and have a fun.
